Madekwe was born in South London, England into an ethnically diverse family. Her father and mother are both English. She grew on the south London council estate, and at the age of 14, attended The Brit School. She was a student at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London in which she earned an BA in acting. Ashley Leggat was born in Hamilton, Ontario, into the extended family of a huge, large.
